❓ Common questions

How long does it take to heat a bucket?

At 1500 W, expect roughly 15–20 minutes for a 15–20 litre bucket brought to a comfortable bathing temperature. Peak-winter tap water takes longer. This is the faster of the two Zella models — the 1000 W version needs noticeably more time.

Is it safe to touch the water while it is on?

No — and this is true of every immersion heater, including this one. Always switch off at the socket and unplug before putting a hand in the bucket or lifting the heater out. The safety features reduce risk; they do not replace this habit.

Will 1500 W trip my wiring?

It draws around 6.5 A, which a standard 6 A Indian socket is close to. Use a 16 A socket where you have one, avoid extension boards, and don't run it alongside another heavy appliance on the same circuit.

Can it run dry or half-submerged?

It shouldn't. The smart switch prevents it from turning on unless the flaps are fully open, and the element must be properly below the water line before you plug in. Never switch it on out of water.

What does the temperature knob actually do?

It sets the point at which the thermal cut-off trips — Low, Medium or High. Rather than watching the bucket and pulling the plug yourself, you choose how hot you want it and let it stop there.
